Price and product positioning:
Although pricier than its siblings Hairmax combs, it will absolutely return the investment. The very generous coverage of the device (the equivalent of 4 combs operating simultaneously) makes up for twice the price. More importantly, the generous coverage of the Hairmax band leaves no room for sloppiness whereas the Hairmax comb makes it difficult to always hit the same spot.
Potential buyers might be happy to know that this comb device is cheaper than the price of a daily Minoxidil tablet (~2 CHF per pill), the standard oral treatment of hair thinning and hair loss. In less than a year, the device will pay for itself without any of the side effects (e.g. appearance and feeling of greasy hair that won’t go away with washing).
Efficacy:
I have only been using the product for one week so this is all I can comment on at the moment.
The device vibrates and makes a soft sound every 30 seconds to alert the user to change the position of the band. As neurotic as I am, I timed this with the phone and 30s is indeed accurate.
Prospective users should know that the product takes at least 4 months to start working, due to the physiology of hair growth. I was attracted to the product due to the availability of peer reviewed clinical trials. I am a full time researcher and scientific papers matter more to me than customer reviews or youtube videos. The consensus is that the device works and reaches maximum treatment efficacy after 6 months. This involves patience but it must be worth it.
For the skeptic ones, I can confirm that the researchers using this device in their scientific experiments had no financial or managerial connections to the Hairmax company, thus adding an extra layer of professionalism to the claims of treatment.
As these scientific papers have shown, no side effects have been reported apart from the rare complaints of band tightness. I confirm that the device feels somewhat tight around my 57cm-in-diameter head but the band is flexible and the 30s duration of treatment is hardly ever a problem.
I shall update my review at Christmas time. I look forward to seeing the results!

Cela ne fait que 2 semaines que je l’utilise mais j’ai comme l’impression qu’il y moins de cheveux sur ma brosse. Je l’utilise en complément au shampoing et après-shampoing Nanogen. Pour le moment je suis très contente, à voir donc sur le long terme.
