Dermaceutic Yellow Cream

Dermaceutic Yellow Cream is a dark spot toning cream that helps to reduce brown marks and correct uneven skin tone while promoting skin radiance. It is an excellent spot treatment to be used on concentrated areas. It is also recommended for those suffering from adult acne that are prone to blemishes or post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation (PIH). Recommended for all skin types with superficial brown mark concerns. Not suitable for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin.

Key ingredients include Kojic Acid which inhibits the production of melanin thereby reducing the risk of pigmentation. Arbutin inhibits the cells production of melanin (melanogenesis) by blocking the action of tyrosinase. Licorice is a proven depigmenting agent due to its flavonoid-rich composition. it also has soothing properties. Morus Alba is a species of fruit tree which limits the production of melanin by inhibiting the action of the tyrosinase. It is also an antioxidant. Glycolic Acid speeds up exfoliation and promotes cell renewal. Salicylic Acid causes a keratolytic action that reduces intercorneocyte cohesion, un-glueing the bonds that hold the dead skin cells together. Paraben-free. Fragrance-free

Recommendation: Dermaceutic Yellow Cream contains anti-inflammatory, anti-pigmentary and exfoliating ingredients – it is a unique and dynamic combination of ingredients that targets pigmentary changes but also pimples, lowering the inflammation in the follicle and clearing it. The depigmenting ingredients then target the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by the breakout due the inflammation. Darker skin types are mostly at risk of PIH and I would recommend this product for them.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The synergy of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and highly concentrated pigment-reducing ingredients exfoliates the skin and regulates the production of melanin, which causes pigment spots.

Kojic acid
Because it inhibits the production of melanin, kojic acid is a proven, effective treatment of melasma (for example the mask of pregnancy).

Arbutin
Inhibits cells’ production of melanin (melanogenesis) by blocking the action of tyrosinase. It is also an antioxidant.

Liquorice
A proven depigmenting agent, due to its flavonoid-rich composition. Liquorice inhibits the action of two tyrosinases, which catalyse the production of melanin. It also has soothing properties.

Morus alba
A species of fruit tree, morus alba limits the production of melanin by inhibiting the action of the tyrosinase. It is also an antioxidant.

Glycolic acid
Speeds up exfoliation and promotes cell renewal.

Salicylic acid
Causes a keratolytic action that reduces intercorneocyte cohesion, and destroys lipids that bind the outer cells of the epidermis.
